Equal Pay Notice

New Hampshire has released the new Equal Pay Notice. This is a completely new notice describing the prohibition against paying employees differently based solely on sex. This law goes into effect January 1, 2015.

Whistleblowers' Protection

03/07/14 - The New Hampshire Department of Labor has released an updated Whistleblowers’ Protection poster that must be displayed by employers. This mandatory update reflects that an employer cannot retaliate against an employee who refuses to participate in any activity the employee believes is a violation of the law.

Minimum Wage

08/06/13 - The New Hampshire Department of Labor has released an updated Minimum Wage poster that must be displayed by employers. This mandatory update reflects an agency clarification on the applicability of the state minimum hourly wage to tipped employees. In addition, the New Hampshire Department of Labor has confirmed the new Commissioner of Labor, James W. Craig.

The Family and Medical Leave Act notice has been revised to reflect the changes caused by the recently approved rule. The definition of "Veteran" has been revised to include both those who serve and those discharged in the past 5 years (previously it was only those who served). The explicit definition of "Serious Injury or Illness" was removed as well, replaced by a notice that there are differences between the definition of "Serious Injury or Illness" for a service member or veteran, and "Serious Health Condition" under the FMLA. Effective Date: March 8, 2013.
