Massachusetts Poster Changes

Minimum Wage Update
The Massachusetts Minimum Wage is scheduled to increase to $11.00 and to $3.75 for tipped employees. The minimum wage rates (per hour) are scheduled to become effective on January 1, 2017.

Fair Employment Update

The Massachusetts Fair Employment poster has been updated with information on the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. The law prohibits discrimination and harassment against certain domestic workers. The poster was also updated with other changes regarding parental and disability leave.

Earned Sick Time Update
The Massachusetts Earned Sick Time poster has been released by the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Under the new law, workers will get one paid hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum of 40 hours of sick leave per year. Employers are required to post a notice informing employees of their rights.

Maternity and Parental Leave Update
The Massachusetts Maternity and Parental Leave poster has been updated to reflect that maternity and parental leave is applicable to both men and women. Employers will now be required to provide leave to both men and women and provide job protection to workers during the birth or adoption of a child.

Minimum Wage Update
The Massachusetts Minimum Wage poster has been updated to reflect an increase in the minimum wage rate. Effective January 1, 2015, the minimum wage rate will increase from $8.00 an hour to $9.00 an hour for non-tipped employees and from $2.63 an hour to $3.00 an hour for tipped employees.
