Connecticut’s minimum wage notice has been revised to reflect new upcoming changes. Beginning January 1, 2015 - the wage increased to $9.15, It will increase to $9.60 the following year, culminating in a $10.10 wage in 2017.
Effective Date: January 1, 2017.
Paid Sick Leave
The Connecticut Paid Sick Leave poster has been updated to reflect a new timeframe for accruing paid sick leave. The new law provides that employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked during whatever 365-day year the business uses to calculate employee benefits. Most of the requirements remain the same, however, the new notice adds clarification that the payroll period used to determine whether or not they have 50 or more employers is the week containing October 1st.
Effective Date: January 1, 2015.
