Robert R. McKearin concentrates his practice on employment law. He has experience litigating in state and federal courts, primarily representing employers in common law and statutory law claims such as wrongful discharge, age discrimination, sexual harassment, and disabilities litigation. Mr. McKearin also has experience representing school districts in employment disputes under collective bargaining agreements. He consults with employers in the drafting of handbooks, implementation of policies, and other litigation-avoidance measures. He has also written and lectured on a wide variety of employment law topics. Mr. McKearin is recognized in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, Who's Who Legal USA, The Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers New England for his employment work on behalf of management. He is a member of the Vermont and Chittenden County Bar Associations and the Labor and Employment Section of the American Bar Association.
Karen McAndrew, head of the Litigation Section of the firm, concentrates her practice in all areas of employment law, with focus on litigation in insurance and college and university law. In addition to counseling clients with respect to employment law issues and compliance with the latest anti-discrimination laws, Ms. McAndrew also represents clients in mediation, arbitration, and state and federal court cases. She is a member of the Vermont and Chittenden County Bar Associations, and a member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association.
