Kara SheaKara E. Shea is an attorney with Butler Snow, LLP. She provides practical advice on employment issues and compliance to national, regional, and local employers of all sizes, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, in a variety of industries. She also represents employers before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and in litigation, including discrimination, retaliatory discharge, whistleblower, and wage and hour cases, including class actions. Ms. Shea has briefed cases presented to both the Tennessee Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Shea regularly speaks on employment-related topics and provides supervisory training on topics including FMLA and FLSA compliance, conducting workplace investigations, and implementing employee discipline. She has been a regular columnist for the Nashville City Paper. Ms. Shea also practices in the area of intellectual property, including trade secrets, trademarks, and copyright matters.


David L. Johnson is a member of Butler Snow's Labor and Employment Group, Appellate and Written Advocacy Group, and Intellectual Property Group. His practice focuses on business and employment litigation, non-compete and trade secret litigation, as well as, employment compliance, counseling and training. Mr. Johnson regularly speaks on employment-related topics including covenants not to compete, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and workplace harassment. 

 

 

 


Bart SiskBart N. Sisk is a member of Butler Snow's Labor and Employment Group. His practice focuses on traditional labor law, immigration: business visas and compliance, employment litigation; as well as, employment compliance, counseling and training. Mr. Sisk has represented employers across the United States faced with union organizing, including mutli-facility organizing and corporate campaigns. Bart also has extensive experience defending employers before the NLRB.
